Years ago, we used a tow truck to reposition dock pieces into and out of the lake.  We also tried using a flat bed car trailer to transport the dock pieces.  The issue with those methods was safety.  Ed Henry came up with an idea back in 1995 and built our dock trailer which is based on a single winch design that lifts the dock pieces with a strap.

The issue with the original trailer design after decades of use is it would flex under a heavy load and the rear wheels would spread.  When the wheels were spread it was difficult to remove the support beams that held dock during transport. 

In 2023, the fix was installing 2x6 beams and 4x4 angle iron to stiffen the trailer.  Many thanks to Ed Henry, Keith Prenat, Gary Green and Kathy Vaughn for spending an entire weekend rebuilding our dock hauling trailer to bring it up to a much safer and improved operating condition. There were many days spent planning this project as well as days collecting the tools and materials to repair the trailer.  Bob Palicki has taken on the task of repainting the trailer to prevent rusting.

Springwater's SLOW / NO WAKE zone buoys had deteriorated beyond repair.  In 2023, Springwater Community Dock Inc purchased three new ultra heavy duty regulatory buoys from Rolyan.  They are model B961R buoys with model B381C clear one mile vis solar lights.  Big thanks to Keith Prenat, Andy Culberson, Gary Green, Ed Henry, Mike and Becca Onuskanich and Jeff Apgar for carrying out a successful installation.  The new buoys also required new anchors and cables.
